With warmer days finally back in town, Cardinal at North Hills residents are already enjoying the summer temperatures thanks to some of the seasonal activities developed by the community’s wellness team. While the community maintains excellence when it comes to wellness all year round, the summertime affords fresh opportunities for residents to live an active lifestyle at their leisure.
The Cardinal operates on the award-winning The Art of Living Well® program that focuses on whole-person wellness, and it’s this mindset that wellness director Ashley Stokes and her team utilize to create an assortment of seasonal programs like outdoor yoga, chair volleyball, water- and pool-based games, lawn games, and many others.
While wellness activities are a key component of summer fun at The Cardinal, lifestyle also plays an integral role. The community recently celebrated National Senior Health and Fitness Day, which allowed residents to get moving and enjoy sunny skies while socializing with other attendees. The special event was all about promoting health and wellness for seniors, complete with booths from local businesses, lawn games, food trucks and even line dancing. The Cardinal residents were able to spend the day outdoors with friends, which included special guests from nearby Kisco Senior Living sister communities.
According to The Cardinal at North Hills’ Executive Director, Tom Ford, there is never a compromise on quality when it comes to wellness. The team takes immense pride in being able to provide an environment that is fun and engaging for residents.
